Arts Alive seeks artists for ‘All That Glitters is Gold’ show
Arts Alive’s latest exhibition at the Tibbits Art Gallery invites artists to submit works from all mediums inspired by the theme “All that glitters is gold”.
The exhibition is presented from August 17 to October 2021 at the Tibbits Opera House. Artists can submit up to three pieces at $ 5 per submission. Paintings, photographs or drawings must be ready to hang using hanging wire. Sculpture or other mediums are also accepted and encouraged. “All that Glitters is Gold” is totally up to the artist to interpret the theme as he sees fit.
Cash prizes will be awarded to top performers based on audience votes. Artists can also sell their work to order.
To be included in this art exhibit, artists must drop off all pieces at the Tibbits Administrative Office at 93 W. Chicago St. by August 16 at 4:30 pm.
The art gallery is currently showcasing artwork from local student artists who have submitted artwork for the annual Kids Art Rocks competition. It is open one hour before and during all performances as well as by appointment in advance on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no entrance fee for the gallery and visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite artwork.
The gallery’s exhibitions rotate approximately every six weeks. After the exhibition “All that Glitters is Gold”, the last exhibition of the 2021 gallery will be “Holiday Leftovers”.
